Step by step guide

1. Make sure you have an empty chamber and leave the bolt open.
2. Press out the retaining pin and remove the lower receiver.
3. Firmly press the shim in (it needs to be under tension to function properly).
4. Reinstall the lower receiver, insert the retaining pin, and you are done.
