Recoil spring guide rod for the CZ Shadow 2.

Machined as a high-precision replacement for the factory recoil spring guide rod. Adds front-end mass beneath the barrel to counteract muzzle flip and felt recoil, keeping the pistol flat and stable even during the fastest firing strings.

The precise surface finish minimises internal friction with the recoil spring for flawless, consistent cycling. An ideal upgrade for IPSC (Production / Optic) and IDPA, where rapid sight recovery wins stages.

Material selection guide: brass, steel or ergal?

Every shooter has different needs when it comes to balance, recoil management and division rules, which is why this guide rod is offered in three distinct materials:

• Brass (maximum weight) – the heaviest option, favoured by dynamic and competitive shooters. Shifts the centre of gravity forward to counteract muzzle flip and allow tighter, faster follow-up shots.
• Steel (durability & balance) – the structural upgrade. Replaces the factory rod and removes any flex, with an intermediate weight increase for a smooth slide cycle, total reliability and a virtually unlimited lifespan.
• Ergal / aluminium (lightweight & responsiveness) – aircraft-grade aluminium that is extremely light yet ultra-rigid. Chosen for a fast, snappy slide cycle, or by competitors who need to shave grams to meet weight limits in specific divisions.

Spring is not included and must be ordered separately. For optimal balance and reliability, pairing with Toni System recoil springs is recommended.
